Brookmans Park garden transformation
A complete rear-garden transformation at Uplands, Brookmans Park, taken from an overgrown, uneven plot through excavation and groundworks to a level lawn, paved circulation and integrated evening lighting.

Client brief
The homeowners wanted to reclaim an overgrown, sloping rear garden and create a level, family-friendly outdoor entertaining terrace and lawn that connected cleanly with the rear extension.
02. PROPERTY CHALLENGE
Property challenge
Significant level changes across the plot and heavy root systems required deep machine excavation, engineered drainage falls, and heavily compacted sub-bases to prevent any future settlement beneath the new porcelain terrace and walkways.
03. ORAMA SCOPE
Scope & approach
We cleared the entire plot back to bare earth, excavated and re-graded the site levels, laid and compacted deep stone sub-bases with reinforcement mesh, laid precision paving for the rear terrace and perimeter paths, and installed armoured cable ducting for warm perimeter evening lighting.

Planning & design coordination
Assessed threshold drainage, surface water run-off compliance, and Part P outdoor electrical certification for the perimeter lighting circuit.
